Sempre quando ouço falar que um filme com tema nórdico, escocês, celta ou irlandês está pra sair, geralmente, já fico empolgando com a possibilidade de uma trilha sonora boa! Não foi diferente com "Brave", a última animação da Pixar. Usually when I hear about an upcoming norse, scottish, celtic or irish movie I get thrilled for the possibility of a good soundtrack! That's what happened with "Brave", the last Pixar's animation.
O filme é bem curtinho, mas é bem divertido! Com aquelas sacadinhas inteligentes, que já conhecemos e esperamos de animações, e uma qualidade de imagem fantástica (cabelo da Merida *-*). Já a trilha é boa mas podia ser mais empolgante! It is a really short movie, but a very funny one! With those intelligent jokes, which we already expect from animations, and a fantastic image quality (Merida's hair *-*). Though it's soundtrack is good, it could be more thrilling!

No fim, acho que Patrick Doyle fez bem o seu trabalho! Não é sua melhor trilha, mas é agradável de se ouvir, e acompanha brilhantemente o filme. Não esperava menos de um escocês. =)
In the end, I think that Patrick Doyle did his job well. It's not his best soundtrack, but it's pleasant to bem heard and it brilliantly follows the movie. Couldn't expect less from a scottish. =)

Saiu no site da revista RollingStone uma das faixas da trilha sonora do filme "O Hobbit", que estréia dia 14 do mês que vem! Já deu pra arrepiar um pouco! =) The RollingStone magazine website posted one track from the upcoming "The Hobbit" movie that will be released next month! I had a little shiver with this!=)
Anúna é um excelente coro irlandês que, em julho, fez uma performance das faixas "Black Soulstone" e "Incantation" da trilha original de Diablo III. Acabou ficando muito mais assustadora do que já era. Anúna is an excellent irish choir that made an performance back in july of the "Black Soulstone" and "Incantation" tracks of the Diablo III OST. It ended up creepier than it was.
Essa ária do último ato da opera Turandot tem uma melodia excelente e um final explosivo espetacular. O trecho é tão famoso que possui diversas interpretações de diferentes artistas. This aria from the last act of the Turandot opera has a great melody and an explosive finale. This stretch is very famous and has many different interpretations from different artists.

Acho impressionante o poder dessa trilha, principalmente neste conjunto final, soando ainda mais especial no trecho "Honor Him"( 2:40 até 4:00, no link ). Para mim, o toque instrumental puro e intenso acaba se tornando muito mais forte ao evidenciar o significado da melodia.
The power of this track is impressive, mainly in this final arrangement, sounding even more special in the stretch "Honor Him" ( 2:40 to 4:00, link ). The pure and intense instrumental touch ends up evidencing tightly the music meaning.
Mesmo este finalzinho sendo minha preferência, de forma alguma tiro o mérito do resto desta trilha impecável.

Como um eterno fã da série Diablo, eu não pude deixar de adquirir a edição de colecionador do terceiro game da saga, contendo o lindo livro de design conceitual e a impecável trilha sonora por Russell Brower.
Acho muito importante o investimento que a Blizzard faz para seus jogos na área de gravação de som e trilha sonora, já que são de extrema importância para ambientação e na construção até mesmo do enredo. Como uma prova disso, no último fim de semana Diablo III arrecadou o prêmio de melhor som, no GDCOnline.
Another post, after so long! With more and more brilliant OSTs released everyday, I can't just let them pass! As an eternal fan of the Diablo series, I had to acquire the Collector's Edition for the saga's third game, including the wondrous concept design book and the stunning original soundtrack by Russell Brower. I think Blizzard's investment in sound recording and OSTs is what makes their games even more interesting. As a proof of that Diablo III won, last weekend, the best audio category of the GDCOnline contest.

Esta faixa especificamente me chamou bastante atenção porém o resto da trilha de Alan Menken, para esse filme, não tem nada de especial mesmo que cumprindo seu papel perfeitamente.

This track specifically caught my attention but the rest of the soundtrack by Alan Menken, for this movie, doesn't have anything special although doing its job perfectly.

Não sei bem falar que tipo de filme é este mas ele realmente merece atenção. Mesmo que com um enredo que eu normalmente chamaria de "farofinha" a história conseguiu me entreter de início ao fim.

I don't really know what kind of movie this is, but it really deserves attention. Even with a plot that I would normally consider "crappy" its history line could entertain me all along the movie. This is an adaptation of a novel by Neil Gaiman, released by DC Comics, directed by Matthew Vaughn and having great cast with awesome actors like the fabulous Michelle Pfeiffer and the charismatic Robert De Niro. Crappy fun granted! =)

"FMA Brotherhood" é um excelente anime que infelizmente teve um passado triste, portanto acabou perdendo muitos possíveis fãs. Muitos acham que este é a continuação do péssimo anime que foi lançado em 2003 "Full Metal Alchemist", mas não é. Na época da primeira animação o mangá de origem não havia ainda sido terminado fazendo com que o anime seguisse um enredo meio sem pé nem cabeça repleto de fillers.
Apesar de maior, "Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood" foi muito melhor executado e possui uma história fantástica bastante fiel a do mangá.
A trilha é inteiramente fodástica, mas quis ficar apenas com a parte triste dela hoje. =B
"FMA Brotherhood" is an excellent anime that unfortunately had a sad past, so it lost many potential fans. Many think that this is a sequel from the terrible anime released back in 2003, but it isn't. By the time of the first animation its manga had not been yet finished, making the anime plot a lot confusing and full of fillers.
Although larger, "Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood" became a flawless anime with its plot very close to its original manga.
The OST is entirely fantastic, but today I wanted to keep with the sad part only. =B
Achei que seria interessante marcar um dia da semana específico para postar trilhas de trailers, afinal elas são as músicas mais épicas porém as mais esquecidas e, além disso, nunca estão presentes em CDs juntas a trilha sonora original. Isto acontece, na maioria das vezes, pois são empresas como "Immediate Music", "X-Ray Dog" e "Two Steps From Hell" que produzem essas faixas e não o compositor da trilha original.
I thought it was interesting to mark a day of the week to post trailer tracks, after all, those are the most epic and also the most forgotten songs, moreover, they're never in the original soundtrack CDs. That happens because are companies like "Immediate Music", "X-Ray Dog" and "Two Steps From Hell" that produces those tracks and not the OST composer.
Ta aí um exemplo de trilha em que não é nem um pouco necessário que a apreciemos apenas junto ao filme. Ela possui um flow gostoso, feliz e harmônico e vale a pena ser conferida / comprada. ;)
This is a kind of soundtrack that doesn't even need to be appreciated only while watching the movie. It has a comfy, happy and harmonic flow and does worth you look and/or money. ;)

John Powell é um compositor inglês a qual tenho bastante respeito. Comparado a outros compositores ele pode até possuir uma discografia média, porém o que realmente me chama a atenção no seu trabalho é a forma como ele conduz as transições entre e dentro das faixas.
John Powell is a british composer whom I really respect. In comparison to other composers he may have a regular number of original scores, however what really draws my attention in his job is the way he conducts the soundtracks transitions between and within the tracks.

"Fate Stay Night" é uma animação japonesa desenvolvida pela Type-Moon lançada em 2006 e se trata de uma guerra periódica entre magos e seus servos para a posse do Santo Graal. Já "Fate Zero" é um anime que foi lançado no ano passado e está ainda em produção, na sua segunda temporada, e conta sobre a guerra anterior a aquela mencionada em "Stay Night"
A trilha sonora de "Fate Stay Night" foi composta por Kawai Kenji e a de "Fate / Zero" por Kajiura Yuki. Apesar de músicos diferentes as músicas seguem, em sua maioria, o mesmo estilo sombrio e épico com presença inclusive de parte do Requiem de Mozart com a faixa "Eirei Chinkon".

"Fate Stay Night" is a japanese animation developed by Type-Moon, released in 2006. It's about a periodic war between mages and their servants to claim the Holy Grail. "Fate / Zero" is it's ongoing prequel on it's second season, and it's about the previous war mentioned in "Stay Night".
Fate Stay Night's original soundtrack was composed by Kawai Kenji while Fate / Zero's was made by Kajiura Yuki. Although having different musicians their tracks follows the same epic and dark style. The music score also includes part of Mozart's Requiem as the "Eirei Chinkon" track.

Kajiura Yuki acaba por usar menos de recursos eletrônicos e se mantém com o som harmônico da orquestra e, em minha opinião, acabou mandando melhor do que Kenji. =P
Infelizmente a trilha ainda não foi toda divulgada, só as usadas na primeira temporada.
Kajiura Yuki ends up using fewer electronic resources and remains with the harmonious sound of the orchestra, being, in my opinion, better than Kenji. =P
Unfortunately the soundtrack is not yet all released, only those used in the first season.
